The 2008 Tour is to Nottingham weekend May 9th - 11th : more details to follow.
We have two trial games booked - first against Brecon in Usk on Friday 24th at 7:00pm and second Wednesday 29th August against Pilgrims RFC at 7:00pm.
The Tag Rugby Fun Day went very well with 25 children enjoying the day. We are having two more sessions on Saturday 18th and 25th August from 9:30am onwards. More details here.
We would like to congratulate Emlyn Jones who has been voted 1st Team Captain and Roger 'Chicky' Morgan as 2nd Team Captain. With their leadership we should be able to improve on the great performance last season.
It is with much regret that we have to report the untimely death of Aevion Blackwell, who played for Usk a few years ago. Aevion was killed in a car crash in America where he emigrated after playing for Usk and continued played rugby for Queen City RFC - more details here. All involved with the club send Andrea, Aevion's wife and his family our deepest sympathy at this sad time.
Training is starting on 10th July at 7.00 pm. New and old players are all welcome.
We would like to pass on our congratulations to Ceri Jones (Quinns) who was selected for the Welsh squad tour of Australia. Ceri played with Usk RFC for a number of years, before going to Newport, then Harlequinns.
